Spanish version of http://www.JetBlue.com, offering a more robust online shopping

While most of the content is a direct translation of the English

in the near future. Translation of JetBlue’s kiosks, confirmation

To translate the site into Spanish and keep it updated, JetBlue hired

Northrop Grumman’s KC-45 Aerial Refueling Boom Completes Key Flight and Performance Milestones

Advanced refueling system nears the end of extensive flight testing and
validation

WASHINGTON, June 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — The advanced fly-by-wire
aerial refueling boom that Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) will
integrate onto the U.S. Air Force KC-45 Tanker completed its 100th test
flight in June, further demonstrating the system’s maturity and validating
the team’s ability to rapidly modernize the U.S. Air Force’s tanker fleet.

Over the course of its extensive test and validation program, the
Advanced Refueling Boom System (ARBS) developed by EADS has:

— Accumulated over 300 flight hours;
— Logged over 60 separate “wet and dry” contacts with an F-16 receiver
aircraft;
— Successfully completed flight envelope expansion testing; matured and
validated fly-by-wire control laws; and
— Executed proximity, pre-contact and contact flight trials with five
different aircraft — the F-16, F-1, F/A-18, C101 and the A330-based
Royal Australian Air Force Multi-role Tanker Transport.

capability of our boom and provides tangible evidence that the KC-45 is

The ARBS already is integrated on the first Royal Australian Air Force
A330 Multi-role Tanker Transport (MRTT), which is scheduled for delivery by
EADS in 2009, and will soon enter the second phase of its flight testing
and validation. The U.S. Air Force’s selection of Northrop Grumman’s KC-45
is the fifth straight win for the A330-based tanker, having been selected
by the air forces of Australia, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and United
Arab Emirates.

Modern fly-by-wire technology incorporated in the ARBS provides
enhanced controllability and includes an automatic load alleviation system,
which greatly aids the boom operator and the receiver aircraft’s pilot
during refueling operations. The ARBS’ Remote Aerial Refueling Operator
station employs a three-dimensional vision surveillance system for a
high-fidelity view of the boom’s position during the entire air-to-air
refueling process. The 55.7 ft. ARBS has the capacity to offload up to
1,200 gallons of fuel per minute.

Copa Airlines incrementará su servicio a cuatro destinos en Brasil

Ciudad dePanamá, Panamá, 30 de junio, 2008 -Copa Airlines, subsidiaria de Copa Holdings SA (NYSE: CPA), anunció el inicio de su nuevo vuelo directo desde Panamá y  ciudades de conexión en el continente americano, a Belo Horizonte, Brasil, a partir del  21 de agosto del 2008.

Nuevo avión para la Gendarmería Nacional Argentina

Ciudad de Buenos Aires, 30/06/08 – El servicio de Aviación de la Gendarmería Nacional Argentina, llamó a licitación pública nacional 16/2008 para a la compra de un nuevo avión de trasporte liviano Pilatus PC- 12NG

El plazo de entrega será de veinticuatro meses a partir de la recepción de la orden de compra y apertura de la carta de crédito correspondiente. El traslado de la aeronave será realizado en vuelo Ferry desde la fábrica hasta el lugar de recepción definitiva, debiendo el vendedor absorber la totalidad de los gastos que esta operación demande.

La compra incluye el dictado de diversos cursos para el personal de Gendarmería y que se detallan a continuación: Curso teórico practico para cuatro pilotos, con certificado de aprobación del fabricante y autoridades Civiles, dictado en instalaciones del Centro de Adiestramientos de la firma Pilatus, Suiza. Curso teórico practico para cuatro mecánicos (dos de ellos especializados en equipos de aviónica y equipos de radiocomunicación), dictado en las mismas instalaciones a los efectos de mantener la aeronavegabilidad continuada de la aeronave.

 
ESPECIFICACIONES TECNICAS DEL AVION PILATUS PC – 12 NG

Aeronave nueva de fábrica, sin uso y con los siguientes equipos:

Equipamiento de cockpit (doble EFIS) para vuelos IFR (cond IMC), equipamiento de comunicaciones aire tierra VHF, UHF y HF de banda corrida (ICOM706 MKIIG).

Configuración de cabina conmuter para nueve pasajeros y que permita la rápida configuración para vuelos sanitarios y carga.

Un  Kit de última generación para evacuaciones sanitarias LifePort de alta complejidad, adaptado especialmente a este tipo de aeronave con camillas modulares.

Refuerzo de alimentación eléctrica para el equipo de evacuaciones sanitarias

Radar meteorológico color display, piloto automático de tres ejes, sistema de oxigeno de emergencia para pilotos y pasajeros. Equipo TCAS, dos GPS Garmin GNS 530, cabina Presurizada con aire acondicionado, equipo de localización de emergencias instalado, equipo de traslado de aeronave en tierra.

De este modo el Servicio de Aviación de la Gendarmería Nacional Argentina,  pasa a disponer de dos aeronaves similares muy modernas y poder reemplazar otras que ya quedaron obsoletas. Además de unificar la flota, toda vez que en la mayoría de los casos las aeronaves de dotación eran de distinta procedencia y entregadas en guarda judicial, encareciendo la logística y dificultando el entrenamiento de las tripulaciones. Nuevos helicópteros para la Gendarmería Nacional Argentina

Ciudad de Buenos Aires, 30/06/08 – La Gendarmería Nacional Argentina, llamó a licitación pública nacional 19/2008 para la compra de cuatro helicópteros, marca Eurocopter, modelo Ecureuil AS 350 B3.

El plazo de entrega será dentro de los veinticuatro meses corridos a partir de la recepción de la orden de compra respectiva y apertura de la carta de crédito correspondiente, con entregas parciales autorizadas. Incluyen un curso teórico práctico para cuatro pilotos, dictado en instalaciones del Centro de Adiestramientos de Eurocopter Francia, con duración de una semana y cursos teórico práctico para cuatro mecánicos, dictado en la misma y en la empresa turbomeca para el motor, con una duración total de tres  semanas. Estos aparatos se vienen a sumar a los dos recibidos del mismo modelo en diciembre último. De este modo sumarían ocho helicópteros del mismo tipo, toda vez que ya se disponía anteriormente de otros dos de origen brasileño comprados a Helibras.

Con estas nuevas compras, se busca reemplazar de manera progresiva a los remanentes Hughes 500 y eventualmente a los Aerospatiale Lama.
