São José dos Campos, July 22, 2008 – Embraer will participate at the 56th Experimental
Aircraft Association’s (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh, in Wisconsin, U.S., where professional
and enthusiasts gather annually to take part in one of the world’s most famous aviation events.
This year’s Oshkosh will be held July 28-August 3 at Wittman Regional Airport. Embraer
will showcase the Phenom 300 jet mock-up at the Company’s booth (S32), located at the
AeroShell Square. The Legacy 600 will be exhibited on July 28, and JetBlue Airways will
display an EMBRAER 190 jet on July 30. “We are excited to be participating for the third
consecutive year at EAA AirVenture, where guests travel from all over the world to see the
best in experimental aircraft, vintage warbirds and exciting new aircraft,” said Ernest
Edwards, Embraer Vice President, Marketing and Sales – USA, Canada, Mexico, and the
Caribbean – Executive Jets. “Visitors will experience the full-scale Phenom 300 mock-up,
with its spacious cabin, comfortable seats, largebaggage compartment, and state-of-the-artGarmin-based Prodigy® flight deck.”
Embraer will host a press briefing on Monday, July 28, at 2:00 pm at the Company’s booth.
Luís Carlos Affonso, Embraer’s Executive Vice President, Executive Jets, will present the
latest achievements of the newly-expanded portfolio of Embraer Executive Jets, consisting of
the Phenom 100, the Phenom 300, the Legacy 450, the Legacy 500, the Legacy 600, and the
Lineage 1000. The super midsize Legacy 600 is in operation in 23 countries, with more than
140 aircraft delivered. The entry-level Phenom 100 and the ultra-large Lineage 1000
deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second half of this year, while the light Phenom 300
will enter service in the second half of 2009. The midsize Legacy 500 and the midlight
Legacy 450 jets, formally launched last April, are expected to enter service in the second half
of 2012 and 2013, respectively.
The Phenom 300 has the largest cabin volume in the light jet category, comfortably
accommodating up to ten occupants. The aircraft is capable of flying at 45,000 feet (13,716
meters), has a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.78, and is designed for short-field takeoffs
and hot-and-high operations. Its range with six occupants and NBAA IFR reserves (35 minutes
Phenom 300 full-scale mock-up of holding and 100 nm alternate) will be 1,800 nautical miles (3,334 km), allowing customers to
fly nonstop from New York to Denver or Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic); or from Los
Angeles to Detroit, Mexico City (Mexico) or Atlanta, at a lower cost than competitive aircraft.
The Phenom 300 appeals to corporations flying large turboprops and light jets.
