– Advanced lightweight system to include carbon brakes, electronic controls

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Goodrich Corporation
(NYSE: GR) is providing an advanced fully integrated landing gear system
for the Cessna Model 850 Citation Columbus large cabin intercontinental
business jet. The weight-efficient system includes main and nose landing
gear, wheels and carbon brakes, and electronic control and steering
systems. The selection of Goodrich represents an important strategic
partnership and new approach for Cessna landing systems. While Goodrich has
had a long history with Cessna as a wheel and brake supplier, this is the
first landing gear system they have supplied to Cessna.

Goodrich’s Landing Gear team will provide overall system integration,
fully dressed main and nose landing gear assemblies, actuation, control and
steering systems and final assembly from its plants in Oakville, Ontario
Canada and Krosno, Poland. Goodrich’s Aircraft Wheels and Brakes team in
Troy, Ohio will supply the wheels, tires, carbon brakes, brake control and
other related braking components. Hardware deliveries to support rig
testing are expected by mid 2009.

Jack Carmola, Segment President for Actuation and Landing Systems at
Goodrich, said, “Goodrich has a long history of supplying wheels and brakes
to Cessna and is proud to continue and expand upon this relationship by
providing an advanced integrated landing gear system on the new Cessna
Citation Columbus.”

Joe Hepburn, Citation Columbus program manager at Cessna, said, “The
addition of Goodrich to the Columbus team represents a long term
relationship with a company and people who have proven their ability to
meet Cessna’s high standard of quality.”

Cessna currently has 71 Citation Columbus aircraft on order for
customers worldwide. The aircraft is expected to achieve FAA certification
by the end of 2013, with deliveries beginning in 2014.

Goodrich currently provides wheels and brakes to a number of Cessnas,
including nine models in the Citation family.
