Marriott plans to build five new hotels in Latin America & the Caribbean

The hotel company has announced plans for five new hotels in the region; in Ecuador, Suriname, Honduras, Peru and Trinidad between 2008 and 2010. The company now has 51 hotels in the region with 12,759 rooms under seven brands in 20 countries. Tourism is definitely “the driver”.
