As the airline struggles with the government and unions over the cancellation of its Madrid service, on September 15 it began four-time weekly nonstop service to Asuncion from Montevideo. At the same time it eliminated stops in order to fly nonstop to Cordoba and Rio de Janeiro, while maintaining nonstops to Rosario and Curitiba. It has signed code share agreements with Iberia and several others are in conversation. The regional hub is working, and with codes sharing on long haul routes the airline should be successful.
