SR Technics and Iberia Maintenance have concluded reciprocal contractual agreements covering engine and component services. The new accords mark the partners’ first-ever collaboration in these fields.

Under the new agreements, SR Technics will provide repair and overhaul services for the CFM56-5C engines of Iberia’s Airbus A340-300 fleet, supplementing the airline’s own work on these powerplants at its own facilities. In return, Iberia Maintenance will repair and overhaul SR Technics components from various aircraft fleets. The services covered by the new reciprocal accords will be provided at SR Technics’ Engine Service Centre in Zurich and at the Iberia Maintenance Component Center at Madrid’s Barajas Airport.

“We are delighted to have signed our first-ever engine services agreement with Iberia,” says Gerry Timoney, SR Technics Executive Vice President Engine Services. “We hope that this will be the beginning of a long and successful partnership between our two companies.”

“We’re pleased to continue the recent growth in our third-party component business with the addition of such an important partner,” adds Juan Ignacio Díez Barturen, Iberia Maintenance’s Senior Vice President Commercial & Development.
