SAO PAULO, Brazil, Nov. 14, 2008 — Texas Aviation Services (TAS), a leader for 37 years in helicopter and aircraft services, along with its in-country partner Sierra Aeronautica, announced today their first set of multiple deliveries to a private organization in Brazil.
TAS recently completed and delivered its first set of helicopters to the Country of Brazil.  The two Agusta 109E Powers underwent major avionics, VIP interior and high-end paint completions.  The customizing included Bendix King Radars, Sky Watch HP’s, Garmin GMX-200’s, dual Garmin 430W’s and system integrations to the existing avionics suite.  The crew and passenger areas were upgraded with fine leathers, carpet, plating, cabinetry and door activated soft-dim lighting.  The exterior paint was applied in a fashion where the transition from one color to another could not be defined by human touch.   Every effort was made by the TAS quality team to insure each seam in the leather was parallel and that every component was inspected prior to installation.  Texas Aviation’s unprecedented quality was applied in every item ranging from the parallel seams in the leather to the on-staff pilots that test-flew the aircraft prior to delivery.
Upon completion TAS and the Agusta 109E’s underwent a thorough seven-day inspection process by ANAC officials.  This process generally takes months upon arrival in the country of Brazil; however the TAS ANAC Repair Station completed the process in one week’s time.  ANAC officials scored the documentation for the aircraft 9.5 out of 10.0. Both helicopters departed the TAS facility on Brazilian registration numbers.  TAS is one of the very few ANAC-certified helicopter centers in the US.
Michael Bashlor, President of TAS said: “We are raising the bar for VIP completions in Brazil and throughout the world.  These aircraft reflect only a small portion of our capabilities and TAS will continue to exceed our customer’s expectations.”
Marcos Braga, CEO of Sierra Aeronautica said, “These are the finest helicopters flying in Brazil today and they are flying advertisements of our abilities to customize helicopters to exceptional standards.”
