First results of the new Canada/Panama agreement

Canada has authorized two airlines to serve Panama. Air Transat will operate two weekly flights while WestJet will operate a daily flight between Canada and Panama. The new agreement – which was signed in June 2008 – also allows for carriers to operate domestic service in each market.
