Mexican air traffic in 2008 grew 2% over the last year

According to the Civil Aviation Authority, air travel in Mexico continued to grow in 2008 in spite of higher fares due to oil prices. A total of 35.5 million passengers traveled by air in 2008. Mexicana was the leader with 11.5 million passengers, followed by Aeromexico with 10.9 million.
