Montevideo’s Carrasco Airport plans to become the most modern in the region

With an investment of $150 million, the private consortium, Puerta del Sol plans to convert the airport into the most modern in South America. It is increasing its main runway from 2,700 to 3,200 meters in length in order to handle the new generation A380. It is also increasing the size and infrastructure of its terminal.
