Pluna carried 32% more passengers in June of 2009

The “born again” Uruguayan carrier reported it carried 42,731 passengers in June, an increase of 32% over the same month last year. It also reported an 82% on time performance in the month. The airline also continued its expansion plan, increasing its service to Asuncion to 10 weekly flights and launching its service between Asuncion, Paraguay and Santiago, Chile. It plans to add nonstop service between Montevideo and Porto Alegre with four weekly flights on August 3.
