Cessna Launches Twitter Site for EAA AirVenture

WICHITA, Kan., July 23, 2009 Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today it will launch a Twitter feed to share the experience of EAA AirVenture 2009 from the perspective of the Cessna team. Cessna will begin Tweeting on July 27 from Oshkosh under the name @fly_cessna (go to www.twitter.com/fly_cessna to follow the feed). Click here to follow us.
“Our Twitter feed will be a combination of Cessna news and program updates as well as observations about the show from our team members spread around Wittman Regional Airport,” said Robert Stangarone, Cessna vice president, Corporate Communications. “We think our unique perspective as the world’s largest producer of general aviation aircraft will add to the Oshkosh experience, whether you follow our Tweets from the EAA grounds or from anywhere in the world.”
Begun in 1953, AirVenture Oshkosh serves as one of the world’s premier aviation events, attracting top government and industry officials, corporate leaders, celebrities and hundreds of thousands of aviation enthusiasts. It spans the entire spectrum of aviation and attracts 10,000 airplanes each year, with more than 500,000 aviation enthusiasts from around the globe attending the week-long event.
