Project Phoenix has announced the delivery of the first high-specification Phoenix CRJ No 1 (Serial No 7211) to a Macau-based businessman. The delivery took place on August 24 at the Flying Colours Corporation completion facility in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
The aircraft departed for the United States for import/export formalities from where it routed west-bound via Anchorage, Petropavlovsk (Russia) and New Chitose (Japan) before arriving in Macau. The aircraft is managed and operated by Macau-based Jet Asia.
“The aircraft is everything we expected it to be and initial feedback from both the operator and owner is very positive. They are delighted with the quality and the handling of the aircraft,” said Project Phoenix President, Mike Cappuccitti. “The Phoenix is no longer a myth! It’s out there and performing.”
The aircraft’s elegant, new 15-seat luxury interior includes a state-of-the-art cabin management system and IFE, with Airshow 4000, ipod stations and Satcom communications. Phoenix CRJ No 1 has been fitted with long range fuel tanks, providing a maximum range in excess of 3,000 nm and giving US coast-to-coast capability.
