Emivest Aerospace Delivers Actor Morgan Freeman’s SJ30, Serial Number 010

Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman arrived in Dubai during the Christmas week while traveling in his
new SJ30 to promote his new movie, Invictus. The award winning American actor visited the emirate
to spend his Christmas vacation and officially receive his new Emivest Aerospace SJ30 private jet while
he was in town.
“I’ve had my eye on the SJ30 for a while. It’s fast, economical to run and will allow me to undertake
long flights without having to stop for fuel all the time,” said Freeman. “I have been extremely pleased
with its range and overall performance. The sea-level cabin is really comfortable, which is an added
bonus whenever I travel.”
Freeman, who also has twin-engine Cessna 414 and Cessna Citation 501 SP jets in his hangar, has
described the SJ30 as the final box to be ticked on his “Bucket List” The actor has been flying his own
aircraft since 2002, and holds instrument and multi-engine ratings.
Before his silver screen success allowed him to buy his own planes, Freeman would daydream at
school about piloting a fighter jet. Even though he subsequently joined the Air Force, he did so as a
mechanic and it wasn’t until he was 65 years old that he acquired his pilot’s license.
Freeman’s Emivest Aerospace SJ30 is a solution to longer, faster travel for the jet set. His aircraft has
a custom paint scheme that reflects his other interest, his blues clubs located both in Memphis, TN and
Clarksdale, MS. His aircraft has the Ground Zero Blues Club logo emblazoned on the tail with a
complementing color scheme. Jet Works Air Center of Denton, Texas completed the paint scheme and
outfitted the aircraft with HF radio with SELCAL, a coupled Garmin 500 with XM weather, XM radio,
and a cockpit iPOD interface. The aircraft is rounded out with a factory installed dual Mode S with
enhanced surveillance transponders and a veneer cabinetry package. It is the light jet performance
leader with a range of 2,500 nautical miles and the highest cruise speed in the light jet industry of
Mach 0.83.
Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, Chairman of Emirates Investment and Development Company, who hosted the
handover ceremony for the star, was especially pleased at the stellar status of Emivest’s latest
customer. “Mr. Freeman has an excellent knowledge of aircraft, and he immediately knew that the
SJ30 would be perfect for him. It is such a pleasure to welcome somebody with such star billing to
Dubai and to know he will fly one of our aircraft.”
“It is exciting to fly the SJ30 in my world tour to promote for my new movie Invictus which talks about
the South African leader Nelson Mandela. This will help in putting the spotlight on a UAE based
company that manufactures very special private jets,” Freeman concluded.
