Atlanta operation will provide Southeast customers with end-to-end service for Airbus Helicopters aircraft
(ATLANTA, GA) — In a move that signals its ongoing commitment to the marketplace, Airbus Helicopters Inc. (AHI) named Precision Aviation Services (PAS), a Precision Aviation Group (PAG) company, as an AHI Service Center. This is the newest AHI service center in the Southeast and the first in the Atlanta market.
The state-of-the-art 35,000 square foot facilities, located at the Atlanta Regional Airport Falcon Field (KFFC) just South of Atlanta, will provide easily accessible sales and service to many Airbus Helicopters aircraft owners and operators in the region. AHI is a leading manufacturer and provider of helicopters that are operated by approximately 600 U.S. civilian, government and military operators, which include corporations, emergency medical services, law enforcement, tourism operators and others.

(NYSE: TXT) company, continued to set itself apart from the competition at HELI-EXPO 2014 with the latest news of the Bell 525 RelentlessTM, the world’s first fly-by-wire helicopter. As hundreds of attendees gathered at booth 4536 at HELI-EXPO, Bell Helicopter shared recent updates alongside a full-size mockup of the Bell 525 Relentless newly configured for search and rescue (SAR) missions.
“With the Bell 525 Relentless we are delivering a generational shift in pilot situational awareness, maintainability and safety,” said Bell Helicopter President and CEO John L. Garrison. “This new generation is rapidly becoming a reality as we are hitting a number of milestones – including extensive testing in our systems integration lab, the production of thousands of parts and the construction of our 525 assembly facility in Amarillo. Highly configurable to a number of mission needs, the Bell 525 Relentless offers game-changing capabilities to customers. The 525 features best-in-class payload range capability to meet customers’ future requirements and best-in-class cabin and cargo volumes coupled with flexible cabin layout options. With wrap-around windscreens for a wide field of view during takeoff, cruise and landing, the Bell 525 Relentless also offers best-in-class crew visibility.
Garrison also spoke to the updated performance specifications based on program progress and testing. Testing is underway in Bell Helicopter’s fully integrated System Integration Lab (SIL), allowing for virtual flight testing of the Bell 525. The result is a mature aircraft able to work through control systems issues and related items well in advance of its first flight later this year. The aircraft is capable of carrying more than 16 passengers for 250 nautical miles and more than 8 passengers for 500 nautical miles.

New Helicopters to Support Police and Airborne Operations

The aircraft will be operated by the Bolivian National Police to provide additional airborne security for the Ministry of the Interior. Delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2014.

La cifra anteriormente indicada implicará un aumento de un 18,9% anual, la que se explica por el auge que sigue teniendo la actividad minera y el atractivo de nuevos destinos turísticos en la región.
Nuevo terminal de aeropuerto A. Merino B. está diseñado para acoger la demanda

Citado por la prensa, Sergio Amunátegui, el arquitecto que junto a su socia Carmen Barreau y un equipo de profesionales elaboraron el proyecto ganador del nuevo terminal aéreo del aeropuerto Arturo Merino Benítez de Santiago, señaló que aquel estaré en condiciones de recibir 44 millones de pasajeros al año 2030 si la demanda así lo amerita.-
Con ello salió al paso de quienes hace poco advirtieron que dicho terminal había sido planificado para atender solo 30 millones de pasajeros a dicha fecha, en circunstancias que las proyecciones al 2030 ya hablaban de una demanda de 38 millones, con lo cual la obra sería insuficiente a su término de acuerdo a los cálculos estimativos.-
Cabe mencionar que el inicio de los trabajos del citado terminal deben iniciarse por etapas el 2015.
Bombardier to Premiere its New Learjet 75 Aircraft on a Tour of Latin America

MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(Marketwired – Feb. 28, 2014) – Bombardier Aerospace today announced that its new Learjet 75 aircraft will be showcased for the first time in Latin America during a special demonstration tour. The aircraft will touch down in select cities in Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Guatemala, Brazil and Chile from March 4 to March 28.
The new Learjet 75 aircraft will be on static display during Aero Expo in Toluca, Mexico, from March 5-8 and FIDAE in Santiago, Chile, from March 25-31. The redesigned Learjet business jet will also be showcased at several events and stops in Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Colombia, Brazil and Chile, among others.

Expansion of Bombardier Business Aircraft Sales Team in Latin America
To further support the growing Latin American business aviation market, Bombardier Business Aircraft also announced the appointment of a new Regional Vice-President for Sales and two new Sales Directors in Latin America.
Stephane Leroy, previously Sales Director for South America and the Carribean, is appointed Regional Vice-President, Sales, Bombardier Business Aircraft.
