Lufthansa Technik has expanded its capabilities to serve even better
VIP & Executive Jet customers in the US.

In Tulsa / Oklahoma Lufthansa Technik’s US-subsidiary BizJet
International has opened a new dedicated maintenance and
refurbishment hangar. This hangar will hold up to a BBJ 737-800 size
aircraft. The hangar also has customer offices in-house allowing our
customer’s close access to the work being performed on their
aircraft.

Brian Barber, Vice President of Completions said: “Building up
capacities to service on VIP and Special Mission Aircraft, especially
for US customers is crucial for the market demand.  With the opening
of a new hangar, which is dedicated for maintenance, refurbishments,
and unexpected maintenance requirements, we are able to service our
customers with faster turn-times, while retaining the Lufthansa
Technik world class quality.”

BizJet’s new FBO facility is open and offering even more services to
meet customer’s needs. The new FBO has much more convenient ramp
access as well as the ability to hangar up to seven Gulfstream sized
aircraft in its hangar. The new FBO also has a conference room,
snooze rooms, pilots lounge and many more amenities.

In addition to the new facilities BizJet has also reorganized its
organization. A “mobility” department was founded to combine the
resources of the new FBO and BizJet’s engine field service team,
called BEST. The mobility department, headed up by Caleb Benner, will
focus on providing customers one location for FBO services as well as
drop-in field service requirements.

Lufthansa Technik’s new Product Division Original Equipment
Innovation has opened a 215 square meter facility in Montreal. The
office is used for two Montreal teams, one for On-Site Support for
Bombardier Aerospace production and Customer Support Innovation the
Americas, and the other for on-going Engineering projects.

The site was opened to facilitate support for Bombardier Aerospace
after selection of the nice® HD system on the Learjet 70*, Learjet
75*, Learjet 85*, CL350*, and CL650* aircraft programs. Plans are
already in place to expand the facility – increasing in size and
personnel – as the business grows.
