The aircraft manufacturer has signed a collaborative partnership with the aeronautical repairs company TAP M&E
Today, ATR and TAP M&E (TAP Maintenance & Engineering), Brazilian specialist in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, announced the signing of a dual partnership. On one hand, TAP M&E has joined the network of centers recommended by ATR for the maintenance of the airframes of its aircraft; on the other hand, the aircraft manufacturer has also chosen TAP M&E as first spare parts repair center in Brazil, for support of its maintenance contracts (GMA: Global Maintenance Agreement) offered to ATR operators.
ATR is thus continuing to develop its “MRO” (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) network with the first approved center in Latin America. Prior to this, ATR had already signed agreements of this type with Fokker Services (Singapore), Rheinland Air Service (Germany) and Atlantic Air Industries (France). Under the terms of this agreement, TAP M&E will follow ATR’s service policy, aimed at offering optimal solutions to operators through respect for the basic rules of customer service defined by ATR.
Through its MRO network, ATR provides its operators with a global network of highly-trained independent suppliers of aircraft maintenance services. ATR’s MRO network is a major step for the regional policy put in place by ATR’s Customer Support, with the aim of offering approved local solutions to ATR operators in the fields of logistics, training and maintenance.
Regarding this new partnership, Valter Fernandes Operations’ Executive Vice-President from TAP M&E, said: “We are really pleased to have been selected by ATR to be a part of their network of approved maintenance centers. Being chosen and recommended by the aircraft manufacturer for various repair services is a major sign of recognition for the quality of our work. We are proud to be able to contribute to the expansion of ATR’s activities in Brazil, and to use our airframe and component expertise for the success of its operators in the region.”
Lilian Braylé, ATR’s Senior Vice-President Product Support and Services highlighted “the importance of continuing to expand our network of approved maintenance centers. Through ATR’s MRO network, we will broaden and enrich the range of solutions offered to ATR operators, by working with highly qualified MRO suppliers, selected with care for their proven knowledge and experience in maintenance activities. Our partnerships with a few key MRO suppliers also allow us to extend our offer of global maintenance contracts to airframe maintenance.”
