ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 5, 2008) – Hawker Beechcraft Services (HBS) has developed a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to install DAC International Inc.’s Gen-X Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) solution to a majority of the Beechcraft King Air turboprop operators. This development will enable Beechcraft King Air 90, 100, 200, B200, 300, B300 and 1900 series of aircraft – including the current models C90GTi, B200GT and 350 – to be operated in a paperless environment while enhancing situational awareness with multiple display options.

Special National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Annual Meeting and Convention introductory pricing on the installation and subscription service will be extended to customers. Visit the Hawker Beechcraft Services booth (#3235) for more information.

The system’s touch screen, active matrix display coupled with its 40 gigabyte hard drive has the capability to store and display in-depth aircraft technical information, electronic charts, graphical weather and a host of other aircraft applications including infra-red enhanced vision. Operators will have a choice between JeppView™ or Maptech™ electronic charts, XM or WSI graphical weather and the entire Hawker Beechcraft electronic technical publication library at their fingertips. This STC will hard mount the Gen-X display as a Class 3 device and support single and dual installations.

“Operators of our King Air fleet will truly enjoy this unique EFB,” said Andy Plyler, vice president, Hawker Beechcraft Services. “It significantly improves flight crew situational awareness while reducing work load to enhance safety. Additionally, we stand by our installation by offering a lifetime warranty on workmanship.”

In addition, DAC International will cover repair and replacement of its parts under its standard five year parts warranty.

Hawker Beechcraft’s Gen-X installation STC is expected to be available for Q1 2009 installation at any of its company-owned HBS locations.

HBS operates 12 service centers internationally delivering value-tailored maintenance, overhaul, repair and upgrade solutions to private, corporate and government customers worldwide.
