VivaColombia renews power-by-the-hour contract with AJW Aviation for expanding fleet of A320s

London, June 8th 2015:   Colombian based low-cost airline VivaColombia, has extended its contract with AJW Aviation – the world’s leading independent provider of integrated aircraft support services, for the provision of component power-by-the-hour support for a fleet of A320s that is anticipated to grow to ten aircraft by the end of 2015.

The first true low-cost airline in Colombia, VivaColombia is based in Medellin, and flies to the popular destinations of Bogota and Cartagena as well as other domestic routes.

AJW has supported the airline’s A320 aircraft since 2012 with components from its Miami based operation which comprises service ready Airbus component inventories.  A Main Base Kit is already located in Medellin as well as consignment stock leased via AJW Leasing.   “As a low-cost carrier VivaColombia knows the importance of getting and providing value for money” explains Matt Millbank, VP Business Development for AJW in the Americas.  “Our customer support team will continue to manage AJW’s comprehensive service which has enabled VivaColombia to stay competitive throughout their crucial formative years.”
