bell-206-2-2.JPGFort Worth—April 30, 2008 Texas Aviation Services, an industry leader in helicopter and aircraft completions, MRO and maintenance services for over 37 years, recently delivered its second new Bell Helicopter model 206B-3 for Gobierno Del Estado de Sinaloa, completing its two-ship contract originally awarded last May 2007. This helicopter, and the first one delivered last year, were outfitted as multi-role platforms. Some of the missions these helicopters will perform for the government include the transportation of government officials throughout the state. Due to highly congested roadways in the region, these helicopters will also aid with a variety of potential emergency missions and will perform search and rescue. TAS installed a tactical avionics suite providing a wide array of communication channels for the multi-mission environment. This list of equipment includes GPS/Nav/Comm 16W/WAAS System, HSI with KI-525, SL30 Nav/Comm, ADF System/KI-227, DME, WX-500 Stormscope, and ELT. Additional customized airframe kits were installed, such as a Deluxe Slant Panel, NAT PA System, Spacemaker, 5 Door Opener Kit, Strobe Lights, SX-16 Searchlight and litter assemblies, making these helicopters ready to meet all of Sinaloa’s missions.
