Organizers travel to LAAD 2009 to promote FIDAE

Strong commercial bonds, presence of delegations, along with flight and static demonstrations will highlight the next version of FIDAE 2010.
Santiago de Chile, February 17th, 2009- At LAAD 2009, which takes place from 14 to 17 April in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the organisers of FIDAE 2010 will be promoting the Chilean event, which will feature both international and local exhibitors specialising in several fields related to the aerospace, defence and security industry. As a country with substantial economic growth Chile’s role on the aeronautical market in Latin America is becoming increasingly important. At the same time, as FIDAE 2010 celebrates 30 years , the show is scheduled to be the biggest ever in the airshow’s history in terms of exhibition space and exhibitor presence.
In an effort to attract wide participation of exhibitors, the Chilean fair’s organisers will be represented at LAAD 2009 with their own stand (A 27).
Exhibition reservations at FIDAE have been growing with many new applications. Exhibiting companies want to the show for the first time from emerging industry sectors, such as Homeland Security and Airport equipment, which reflect growth market areas for future shows, and which are of increasing interest to the FIDAE trade visitors.
First held in 1980, FIDAE is recognised as the most important Latin American air show, and is organised by the Chilean Air Force. In 2010 FIDAE will be the most important event on the Latin American air show calendar (Chile will be celebrating its bicentennial anniversary). By organising a conference programme that is more comprehensive than at any other air show in the continent, a first-class programme of flying displays, FIDAE at its Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport venue will be catering extensively to the needs of visitors to an international trade fair, conference and event for the general public. At the same time it will be the only air show offering access to the markets of Central and South America.
About FIDAE

The sixteenth version of FIDAE will take place, at the north side of Arturo Merino Benitez Airport, form March 23 to March 28, 2010, year that will be celebrated the Bicentenary of the Republic of Chile. The biennial event is an aerospace and defence exhibition centre of great significance at Latin American and world level, which outstands areas such as, civil-commercial aviation, defence, aircraft maintenance, airport & equipment services, space technology and Homeland Security.
FIDAE 2010 will gather exhibitors and numerous civil, commercial and military delegations, which will take the opportunity to share experiences and get involve with the use and applications of new aeronautic technologies, fact that will allow them to expand and deepen their business opportunities.
