The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer delivered five less aircraft in the first quarter compared to the same period in 2008. Of the 40 aircraft delivered, 32 went to commercial airlines and the balance to executive aviation. The company has a backlog of $19.7 billion orders as of March 31, 2009. It expects to deliver 242 aircraft this year, more than the 204 delivered in 2008.
