São José dos Campos, July 9, 2009 – Embraer
began deliveries of the first units of the entry
level Phenom 100 executive jet in Brazil at the
end of June. The first customers to receive the
aircraft were Algar Aviation, from Uberlândia,
Minas Gerais, for its charter operations,
Wellborn Participações, from Londrina, Paraná,
and Locar Guindastes e Transportes
Intermodais, from São Paulo. The latter two will
be using their aircraft for corporate purposes.
“It is gratifying for Embraer to see the Phenom 100 flying with Brazilian customers so
quickly, since worldwide deliveries began just seven months ago,” says Breno Corrêa,
Embraer Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Latin America – Executive Jets. “From now
on, Brazilians will have access to the superior comfort and exceptional performance of the
best jet in its category.”
Of more than 800 firm orders for the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 jets, over 100 are for
Latin America, 70% of which for the Brazilian market.
The Phenom 100 was launched in 2005 to establish standards of comfort and performance for
the entry level category, and it went into operation in December 2008. Currently, more than 20
Phenom 100 jets are operating, worldwide.
