Texas Aviation Services Continues Delivering Into Guatemala

Fort Worth—May 19, 2008 Texas Aviation Services, an industry leader in helicopter and aircraft completions, MRO and maintenance services for over 37 years, recently delivered a new Bell Helicopter model 407 to one of its returning customers from Guatemala. This helicopter earned its pre-customizing mileage points by traveling from Mirabel, Canada to Fort Worth, then to New Zealand, and back to Fort Worth before TAS began the customizing process. This VIP/Utility helicopter’s primary utilization is for business transportation. TAS installed an avionics suite that included an array of systems to include a Garmin 530 GPS/NAV/COMM WAAS, a Sandel Electronic HSI, a Garmin SL30 Nav/Comm, a #2 Garmin GI-106A indicator, a Honeywell KR-87 ADF with KI-227 indicator, a Garmin GTX-327 Transponder, an Altitude Encoder, a TRA Radar Altimeter and an ELT. In addition to the avionics package, TAS installed an assortment of customizing kits for comfort and ease of maintenance. These items include a 5 Door Opener Kit, Cabin and Baggage Floor Protectors, a Spacemaker, Window Locks, Airconditioner and Strobe Lights.
