AVIDYNE ADDS JEPPESEN’S EUROPEAN VFR CHARTS AS AN OPTION ON ALL AVIDYNE MFDS

Avidyne and Jeppesen continue partnership to further enhance safety
for European customers with electronic versions of Jeppesen VFR Manual.

EAA AirVenture– OSHKOSH – July 28, 2009 – Avidyne Corporation, a leading provider of integrated flight deck and safety systems for general aviation aircraft, and Jeppesen, the industry-leading provider of flight deck information and optimization solutions, announced today that Jeppesen’s European VFR Charts package is being certified as an optional subscription package for Avidyne’s EX500 and EX5000 Multi-function display (MFD) customers.

“Avidyne and Jeppesen recognize the situational awareness benefits of electronic charts in the cockpit,” said Thomas Wede, Jeppesen Senior Vice President and General Manager, Aviation.  “We are pleased to continue that relationship by offering our mutual customers in Europe access to electronic versions of these safety-enhancing piloting tools.”
