AirTran filed applications for expanded Caribbean service

AirTran filed applications with the DOT to begin offering service to Nassau, Bahamas; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and the island of Aruba. The airline proposes to service Nassau and Montego Bay from Atlanta, Baltimore and Orlando; while service to Aruba would be from Atlanta and Orlando. If approved, service would begin later this year and early in 2010.
