The Finnish Air Force has ordered from Airbus Military one additional C295 tactical transport aircraft. This new aircraft will be the third to join the Finnish Air Force, which has already been operating two C295s since 2007. It will have the same configuration as the earlier aircraft.
The two C295 aircraft operated by FINAF are supported by a FISS – Full In Service Support – contract by Airbus Military in a “pay by hour” concept. This FISS contract covers the material and the maintenance tasks required to be performed in the aircraft above the “line maintenance” which remains operator’s task.
