Mexican airline becomes Embraer’s largest customer under this program in Latin America
São José dos Campos, August 19, 2008 – Embraer and Aeroméxico Connect signed a longterm
Parts Pool Program services contract to support their growing fleet of ERJ 145 and
EMBRAER 190 jets. With this agreement, the company becomes Embraer’s largest Latin
American customer in the program. “We are proud to have been entrusted by
Aeroméxico Connect to provide such a critical service to their operation,” said John Linn,
Embraer Vice President, Customer Support and Services – North America and Caribbean. “With
this contract, the airline shows a high level of confidence in the reliability and availability of our
parts pool program for their fleet.” The agreement covers over 500 part numbers
for Aeroméxico Connect’s ERJ 145 and EMBRAER 190 fleet and also includes landing
gear overhauls for the ERJ 145s.
About Parts Pool Program
The Parts Pool Program is an asset and component repair management program which airlines
can rely upon to lower their costs and guarantee that a “no go” or “go if” part will be available
when and where it is needed. Through on-site stock and exchange parts, Embraer maintains
ample inventories of high-demand parts and components. This ensures that parts are always
available for replacement, and turn-around-time is no longer a concern. The Parts Pool Program
also saves operators from having to manage repairs and warranty claims, and relieves many
inventory carrying costs, such as surplus, material overhead, insurance, and more.
