ExecuJet Aviation Group to expand completions activity

ExecuJet Aviation Group is marking three years’ activity of handling aircraft interior design and completions by moving into larger executive jet types. By the end of the year, the Zurich, Switzerland-based company is hoping to add Airbus ACJ and Boeing Business Jets to its current, primarily Bombardier Business Jets portfolio. A brand new dedicated customer showroom, located at Zurich Headquarters is scheduled to open this autumn.
The expansion of our interior and completion business is mirroring the growth of activity, not just from new build aircraft deliveries, but increasingly in response to rejuvenated interest to create new looks for pre-owned aircraft,” says Pascal Jallier, Head of Completions at ExecuJet Aviation Group.
Australia and Asia Pacific are big growth regions, as is the Middle East, especially for mid-sized cabin business jets. Russia is another strong market accounting for 40% of ExecuJet’s activity right now. ExecuJet will be talking up its expertise in completions and its expanded portfolio of business aviation solutions at Russia’s dedicated business aviation show, Jet Expo, in Moscow this week (September 17th-19th) at Hall 7, Stand C190.
Pascal Jallier, previously Head of Interiors for Bombardier Business Aircraft and Jet Aviation, has hands-on experience of approximately 160 business aircraft completions. He leads a team of 12 in Switzerland and is working closely with ExecuJet’s pre-owned global aircraft sales team, headed by Nicholas McHaffey from ExecuJet’s Middle East Headquarters in Dubai.
ExecuJet’s completions division has handled about 26 design and completion projects to date. In the past few months the team has been approached about new cabin interiors for the Bombardier CRJ200, the Fokker 100 regional turbofan, and the Dornier 328JET. Currently, ExecuJet is responding to RFPs for BBJ and ACJ work.
As soon as a deal is ratified on a new or second-hand aircraft, ExecuJet works hand-in-hand with the OEM to determine a customer’s specification of the cabin. The completions team will visit the operator and discuss their preferences for interiors, taking into account any in-flight entertainment requirements the customer has selected.
“Customers are becoming more savvy about what they want to offer their passengers inflight – Satcom connectivity; the ability to offer world news and sports results for example – when planning their cabin interiors. Consider that business jet operators were offering Skycam, for example, a good five years before it was featured by commercial airlines at the beginning of this decade. We will thus think ahead and plan how in-flight installations can be accommodated within the cabin design.”
On receipt of an all new green aircraft, ExecuJet’s completions team will conduct a series of tests – verify that all components are in place, and conduct a full inventory and conduct a full inventory and quality check, for example. Our so-called ‘white glove’ test, the culmination of a complete interior cabin completions test, is very thorough.
ExecuJet has a broad number of international accreditations for its MRO/technical services work and its FBO activity, as befits an organization that oversees more than 120 business aircraft on management contracts on eight Aircraft Operating Certificates (AOCs) around the world. ExecuJet works primarily with Bombardier business jet models, reflecting the close relationship that the two companies enjoy, but it has also worked on Falcon, Gulfstream, Embraer and Citation types.
