Key Airlines Gather at ALTA´s 7th Aviation Law Americas

Miami (September 25, 2013) – The 7th Aviation Law Americas Conference organized by the Latin American & Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA), will begin today at the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach in Florida. The conference brings together legal experts from the Americas to address the most relevant issues affecting the aviation industry in the region.

The 7th edition of the meeting will be inaugurated by a Welcome Reception tonight, following an afternoon meeting held by ALTA´s Legal and Aeropolitical Committee. Aviation Law Americas will resume tomorrow with an agenda that approaches the most significant topics for the industry today, among them, the ever-important subject of infrastructure, an analysis of the drivers of the growth experienced in the past decade and the challenges to tackle in order to  sustain the same path of expansion, legislative trends in consumer protection, proactive interaction with customers through Social Media, Environmental Market Based Measures and financing of aviation equipment.

Gonzalo Yelpo, Legal Director of ALTA, remarked, “I am truly delighted that we were able to secure the participation of legal executives from airlines from throughout the Americas, who are joining us to help us navigate through these key topics that really impact aviation. This is the seventh Aviation Law Americas conference held consecutively. This year´s Aviation Law Americas garnered the attendance and participation of airlines from Latin America and the Caribbean, the United States, Canada and Europe, including Aeromexico, Aerolíneas Argentinas, Air Canada, Air Transat, Avianca, Avior, Azul, Bahamasair, Copa Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Fedex, Iberia, LATAM Airlines, Volaris, Liat, Masair, Sky Airline, Spirit Airlines, TAM, United Airlines and Turkish Airlines.
